WHAT IS REALLY AFFECTING YOUR PULLING POWER?

Men and women are not as different as we think when it comes down to deciding whether a handsome stranger is worth snogging or not. In a recent survey by Dr Raj Kumar, cosmetic dental surgery, crooked or stained teeth was ranked top in the kiss turn-off stakes with foul smelling perfume or after-shave voted the least likely to turn us off.

Almost 50% of men questioned felt that bad teeth were the most likely thing to put them off kissing a girl. With a nation of diet, shopping obsessed females it is ironic that love handles and a lack of taste in clothes were given almost half the votes given to teeth, coming joint second. Surprisingly, the factors least likely to jeopardise a man to pucker up was a lack of make-up (with zero votes) and a minimal cleavage getting only 6%.

To women, awarding a kiss is based on the merits of male personal hygiene rather than stylish smells and clothes. Nearly 40% were repulsed by terrible teeth whereas only 5% of women would be turned off by bad aftershave and 10% due to poor clothes. After teeth, greasy hair (20%) is the thing most likely to put a girl off lip contact, closely followed by mono brows (14%) and man boobs (12%).

Director of FORMA, Dr Raj Kumar commented; ‘Kissing is an intimate experience of body contact. When kissing someone for the first time a belief that the recipient has good oral hygiene is almost as important as the desire itself. Gum disease can cause other health problems such as heart disease so the quality of someone’s teeth and gums is in fact a good sign of overall health.’
